About Heather

Heather Whiteman, an expert in People Analytics and the Future of Work, is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Washington Information School. With a master's in I/O Psychology and a PhD in Human Capital Management, she teaches courses on people analytics, data, and technology at the UW as well as the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. She serves as a U.S. representative for the International Organization for Standards (ISO) contributing to global standards for HR measurement and leading the first standard on HR data privacy. She is also a Fulbright Scholar dedicated to bringing HR analytics to Latin America.

Formerly VP Global Head of People Strategy, Analytics, Digital Learning, HR Operations & Technology at General Electric (GE) Digital, Heather led organizations through hyper-growth and digital transformation. She now contributes as a board member and advisor to organizations focused on leveraging people data for positive impact. Her passion lies in helping individuals and organizations prepare for a future of work that promotes fairness and equity.
